The band certainly approved of what they were hearing from their side of the glass, and Audient's Steve Flower was at the controls to enable visitors to experience the sound and features of the console first hand. "It was an intense few hours, as there was a constant stream of people coming to listen. I'm very pleased the console is so intuitive and rewarding to use," he says.
The one day event took place in Studio 2 and the live room at the new SAE studio facility near Shoreditch, welcoming industry dignitaries including engineers, producers and studio owners, as well as SAE students and representatives from the education sector where Audient also enjoys a strong reputation.
Yan Gilbert-Miguet, technical consultant at Mediapros comments, "It was great to see the new Audient console in action, the guys got a great sound very quickly and easily. The ASP4816 is just the right size and is very clearly laid out. Audient consistently deliver clever and intuitive designs, I think this one is set to be a winner."
Audient's UK sales manager Gareth Williams orchestrated the event, and confirmed, "What a fantastic response! Flight Brigade sounded great through the chain of Sontronics mics and Audient mic pres. Special thanks to Luca [Barassi, college manager at SAE] and his team for all their hard work."
