Audio Export, with its subsidiary Audio Pro, is one of the largest pro audio distributors in Germany, handling leading brands such as JBL, Crown, Soundcraft, Lexicon, BSS Audio and Genelec. Willy Günther, president of Audio Export, states: "Acquiring EML is of major strategic importance for our Group, there is great synergy to be found in the product portfolios and the expansion is in line with our plans for the Benelux market. The goal is to combine Audio Export’s strong financial, logistics and marketing backbone with EML’s leading market position, which is based on excellent customer support and a powerful sales front end."
Richard Garrido, member of the board of directors of EML and a former director of SCV International, adds: "I believe that Audio Export will prove a strong parent company for EML and their resources will create more room for growth for EML in the Benelux market. We have found a way to create the best possible continuity for the company, taking into account the position of the manufacturers represented and also the reality of the Belgian market, with its relatively small size and the use of two languages in a constantly battling European market."
EML Belgium is distributor for major brands and is now looking forward to rapid expansion of the product portfolio. Richard Garrido will resign from the board of directors of EML after the transaction has been completed. Former TM Audio Holland manager Peter de Fouw has been appointed as managing director.
