A variety of wildlife sound sources are located around the eye-catching booth, with microphones placed to allow visitors to pinpoint the sounds and experience the difference between a range of models in terms of response, acceptance angle and sound rejection etc.
Key models from Audio-Technica's Broadcast & Production range will be displayed, alongside the popular AT897 short shotgun - ideal for camcorder and HDSLR mounting - and the widely-used ATH-M50 professional monitoring headphones.
In addition to the above Audio-Technica products, Allen & Heath's new XB-142 broadcast desk will also be showcased at BVE North, with updated features including a dedicated audition bus, enhanced stereo channel configurations and updated mic preamps. The compact mixer is designed for small radio or internet broadcast studios, podcasting, content creation etc and also features start/cue outputs for CD deck control, telephone communication channel, no less than 17 logic I/O for remote control and a raft of other radio-friendly tools.
Tom Harrold, Audio-Technica pro audio assistant marketing manager said, "The response to our 'jungle location' stand was overwhelming at BVE in London, so we're delighted to be bringing the booth to Manchester. Visitors found it offers a valuable insight into how various Audio-Technica broadcast microphones perform, with the chance to test pickup patterns and sonic characteristics in a useful way - something that is of real value to BVE's professional audience."
