Of particular interest to visitors, the company says, was its new ATCS-60 infra-red conference system. Making an exclusive pre-launch appearance on the roadshow prior to its official unveiling at InfoComm 08 in Las Vegas on 18-20 June, the ATCS-60 drew praise from both trade and press attendees for its "flexibility, ease of use and keen UK pricing", say Audio-Technica.
Key features of the ATCS-60 (comprising the ATCS-C60 master control unit, ATCS-M60 mic unit, ATCS-A60 antenna unit and ATCS-B60 battery charger) include secure wireless conferencing - the result of using IR technology; self-contained M60 mic units with built-in speaker, negating the need for external PA; Fully Automatic mode - DSP voice detection activates the M60 mic unit; Push To Speak mode - manual operation supports up to 150 users (50 in automatic mode); Grouping function - allowing up to five groups to be assigned in meetings; and PC Control - software allowing access to full functionality and ability to store set-ups.
Also proving popular with visitors are the roadshow's various seminars covering topics including the Digital Dividend Review - the intensive Wireless Workshop has also been well-received by attendees.
The tour continues with the following dates and venues: 27 and 28 May - Tewin Bury Farm, Herts;30 May - Cadbury Hotel and Country Club, Congresbury, Bristol; 2 June - The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands; 4 and 5 June - Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire; 6 June - Oulton Hall, Leeds, West Yorkshire; and 9 and 10 June - Hopetoun House, nr Edinburgh, West Lothian.
