With representatives from the Leave and Remain camps lined up in front of a 6000 strong audience, the elaborate stage was full of colour as the campaigners traded views and addressed a selection of invited questions for the live broadcast.
Working closely with Gurdip Mahal, Aurora helped deliver the live experience with an array of equipment spread across two main stage areas, whilst also keeping the audience well and truly in the frame.
Martin MAC Viper Performance and Washes added strong tones to the production, with Viper AirFX also on board for extra versatility. 60 Clay Paky Mythos fixtures were also included with their beam properties whilst GLP XA XLs were placed throughout the arena to bathe the venue in colour.
To complement the deep hues, tungsten Fresnels were used to provide warmth to the interview area with ETC Source Fours cutting through the colour wash to keep the action crisp and clear throughout the broadcast.
Commenting on the show, Aurora project manager Ben Taylor said, "As a live event, a broadcast project and a matter of huge importance to the UK, the EU Referendum proved to be a really exciting project for us. It's always a pleasure working with Gurdip and the team did a fantastic job in creating an installation that worked on all levels throughout the evening, right across the entire venue."
