Recently the partners in AVC decided that they could serve the needs of their market better as part of a larger group - at the same time Electrosonic Ltd was looking for ways in which it could expand its geographical coverage. Because the companies know each other well, having traded together since AVC's founding, their coming together is a natural fit.
While AVC will become part of the Electrosonic Ltd business, it will retain both its identity and its staff. The Electrosonic connection will bring a substantial increase in resources, allowing AVC to carry out larger projects, and to extend its service offering. Douglas Bolton, senior partner of AVC, who will continue to manage the AVC operation within Electrosonic, says "We are excited by the new opportunities that Electrosonic will bring us. We want to ensure that we offer the Scottish market what it needs from within Scotland - but we also want it to benefit from the resources and international experience of the Electrosonic Group."
David Ambrose, director of Electrosonic Ltd's service business, says: "We have been looking for ways to improve our coverage and to extend our contract service business. Teaming up with AVC is an excellent move for us, and greatly improves the service we can offer our customers in Scotland."
Kevin Murphy, director of Electrosonic Ltd's Systems Business says "In today's systems integration business you must be both near the customer and well resourced. AVC will bring us project opportunities that neither of us working separately could have undertaken."
