Mazowsze focuses on historical folk dances well-known throughout Poland. Its internationally famous performances, rich in Polish tradition, explore and define the identity and development of the country's culture. The colourful and creative costumes worn by the dancers complement the upbeat and often fast-paced music that, prior to the installation of the Aviom Pro16, presented a challenge for sound engineers performing sound checks.
The Aviom system is an important element of the overall audio installation at the complex, as it provides a quick and simple monitoring solution. The extensive routing and sound mixing setup begins with a Digidesign ANO A-Net Output Card operating from the centre's Digidesign Venue system. Signals from the Venue are then sent to four Aviom A-16R Rack Mount Mixers, controlled on stage by four A-16CS Control Surfaces. The system also features a 6416i Input Module that feeds into an ASI A-Net System Interface.
"The Aviom equipment allows the sound engineers to create the perfect work environment for the artists," says Piotr Jankiewicz, project manager at Konsbud Audio. "With the Aviom system, the musicians can now set their own monitor levels and the ease of use of the personal monitoring system is a time saver for both the musicians and engineers. The Aviom monitoring equipment has made workflow during sound check quicker and easier."
