Ross McFarlane, product specialist for Audient has just returned from a trip to São Paulo, during which he presented Audient and LA Audio products to around 50 of Libor's key customers. "I was particularly impressed by the distances people had travelled for the presentations: a good few had taken two-hour flights to attend," McFarlane says. "Many people have been long-standing customers of Libor. There is obviously a real loyalty and trust between them. Several still have DDA consoles bought from Henry and Ivone 10 or more years ago!"
XEF Sound has been in business for many years and is an example of one of these loyal customers. Owned by one of the leading sound engineers in Brazil, Leo Garrido, XEF Sound has steadily expanded its activities, always looking for new solutions to keep ahead of the field. His most recent addition is a 48-channel Aztec, the first in Brazil. Henry Spong explains: "Despite being a great enthusiast for digital technology, Leo recognizes that analogue consoles still sound better and will continue to do so for several years to come. Aztec is the perfect solution for him, offering sound quality at least as good as competitive brands costing 50% more and a build quality compatible with the rigors of touring in Brazil."
