The Academy, which is based in Wakefield, will be offering Apple courses that are relevant to this field, as well as courses for Apple beginners and enthusiasts.
Tuition will take place at The Backstage Academy's new facility, adjoining the LS-Live rehearsal studio, which is one of the largest purpose-built rehearsal spaces in Europe.
The Academy has an Apple Authorised Training Suite, modern classrooms, a 3D viewing suite and 14 en-suite bedrooms to accommodate participants who may wish to stay overnight.
David Kirtlan, an Apple education mentor and education director at The Backstage Academy, said, "Our courses cater really well for those working in live events production, as well as lecturers and technicians who provide support for aspiring students.
"Apple products have become an integral part of live events and knowing how to handle the software is key for all production professionals. We have courses to accommodate every level of experience and we can cater to different interests, from video and sound production to the fundamental basics of using an Apple.
"We will also be working closely with Chris Roberts, an Apple master trainer for Final Cut Pro, to deliver world class courses."
The courses currently on offer are Logic 101, Final Cut Pro 101, Logic 301, Final Cut Express 101, Motion 101, Colour Correction 101, Final Cut Pro 300, DVD Studio Pro, Soundtrack Pro and Intro to Apple Macs.
There are places remaining on Final Cut Pro 101 and Final Cut Pro 300, both three-day Apple certified courses, which begin on Wednesday 31 August and Monday 12 September respectively.
The Academy is also running a one-day course to familiarise existing Final Cut Pro users with the latest version of the software, released last month. This course will take place on Tuesday 30 August and Thursday 15 September.
