Bandit Lites donated a lighting package for the inaugural concert that included a line-up of Alanna Royale, Stella//James, Jordan DePaul, Nikki Williams, Megan Davies, Raquel Cole, Zeke Ducon, Shawn Byrne, Jenn Bostic and Daphne Willis.
Leading up to the event, participants and businesses formed teams which raised both money and awareness towards eliminating cancer. According to the event's website, more than 27 teams and 189 participants raised more than $67,600 to go towards those in need in Nashville, including programmes for patients such as transportation to and from treatment, counselling, and the operation of Hope Lodge, where patients from across the country can stay for free during the duration of their treatment.
With the concert taking place in a park with little to no lighting, it was crucial for lighting designer Carter Fulghum to build a look that would both translate from day to night seamlessly and be visible to those in attendance across the park.
With truss towers filling the stage, he used Bandit's exclusive LED GRNLite Battens, GRNLite Moving Washes, GLP X4S and Martin MAC Auras for flashy effects.
In addition to the live music, the free family-friendly event included guest survivor speakers, games, line dancing, a beer garden boasting local Nashville brews, and a special closing ceremony that consisted of sending up luminaries in the sky to "remember loved ones lost to cancer, support people who currently have cancer, and honor people who fought cancer in the past".
