Bandit Lites once again provided the lighting for both the Music City Stage and the 150ft tower
USA - It was a record-breaking evening for Jack Daniel's Bash on Broadway: New Year's Eve in Music City where 143,000 people lined the streets of Nashville to ring in 2016. Performances included Kings of Leon, Chris Stapleton and Kelsea Ballerini while Bandit Lites once again provided the lighting for both the Music City Stage and the 150ft tower adorned with the massive music note that ushered in the New Year.

Lighting designer John Lucksinger focused his attention for the evening on that quintessential tower which utilised Martin Atomic strobes, Aryton Magic Panels, and Robe cycfx 8s being controlled by a MA2 console networked with a MA NPU.

With the event now needing two stages to accommodate the seven musical guests, Lucksinger found he could simply not be in two places at once, and after designing the lighting for the Music City stage, he handed the controls to Bandit lighting designer Teresa Porterfield-Fensler.

"I had complete confidence that she'd do a fantastic job and give the city what they expect from a Bandit quality show," said Lucksinger.

For the Music City stage, Bandit provided Martin Auras, Clay Paky Sharpys, Martin Vipers, Robe Pointes and Chauvet 7x7 Nexus Panels with a MA2 console.

Production manager Chris Lisle noted more than 45 trucks of equipment, 242 local stagehands, 60 miles of video cable, 16 forklifts, lulls, lifts, and cranes, and 5,775,000 watts of generator power helped create the event.

"This was the biggest event for NYE Nashville yet with lots of different parts," added Lucksinger. "The team from Bandit has been excellent as always."

"Once again Chris Lisle and his team knocked this event out of the ball park and each year as the event grows Chris only seems to make it look easier," said Bandit's vice president, Mike Golden. "My hat's off to Chris Lisle, David Spencer, Butch Spyridon and all of the staff that make this event run so effortless.
