The first ever
USA - University of Tennessee president Joe DiPietro hailed the university's "countless success" at the first ever 'State of the University' event at St. Thomas West Hospital, where, in addition to other goals and objectives, he announced the expansion of the UT Health Science Centre residency programme.

Bandit Lites provided the lighting for the event at no cost in a continuous effort to give back to its local community. Bandit founder and chair Michael T. Strickland, himself an alumnus of UT Knoxville, views the mission of the university as a clear path to the success of the country. Consistently ranked as one of the top 50 public universities in the country, the University of Tennessee system includes campuses in Chattanooga, Knoxville and Memphis, where the Knoxville flagship campus alone boasts more than 27,000 students and 300 degree programmes.

Bandit provided LED pars to illuminate the venue's walls with colour along with providing front light for video. Branding for the event also featured custom UT presidential seal gobos with 19 degree ellipsoidal while a Grand MA Lite was utilized for control.

Bandit's lighting was incorporated seamlessly with the auditorium's house lighting system to establish a professional look for both a video presentation and for the patrons in the audience, which included supporters and members of the press.

"Our directives for the meeting came from UT's Tiffany Carpenter and Mike Gregory, including video direction form Russ Hollingsworth from UT's Communications department" said Bandit client representative Shawn Lear. "Greg Ogne was the lighting director for the event, and delivered the quality people come to expect from Bandit."
