A Johnson City, TN native, upon graduating from East Tennessee State University with a degree in accounting and finance, Simpson first worked in public accounting before joining the finance team at Regal Entertainment Group, the United States' largest theatre chain. While there as senior accountant, she oversaw the month-end close process, reviewed monthly financial statements and provided detailed analysis of budget and prior year variances.
Regarding her new position with Bandit, Simpson said, "I am very blessed to be working with such a great team and for such an amazing company. I know that I have much to learn about the music industry, but I am very excited for this next chapter in my career."
Bandit Chair Michael T. Strickland says of Shay joining the Bandit family, "We are very excited to have someone of Shays background, pedigree, and experience in the entertainment industry. We look forward to Shay allowing us to grow the accounting department and take it to the next level."
