USA - Dating back to the beginning of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bandit had often attempted to become the legendary bands lighting company, each time coming close but never actually sealing the deal. This year Bandit has finally completed the task. Ross Shilling at Vector Management, designer Steve Owens and tour manager Steve Voudouris chose Bandit Lites as the official lighting supplier for Lynyrd Skynyrd. Bandit C.E.O. Michael T. Strickland Says: "It is really a dream long overdue. I know all the guys in the band personally and haveworked in and around them since 1972. Bandit was almost Skynrds lighting company on manyoccasions through the years, but it never quite worked out. It is great to finally have these two starcrossed entities together."

Long time Skynyrd designer Steve Owens has designed and programmed a show that isperfectly suited to a band that is globally revered. Owens' console of choice is the Grand MA andhis pallet of fixtures include High End Turbo Cyberlights, High End Studio Beams, Martin Mac2000's, the new Coemar LED PARs, Thomas Pixelines and the AC Lighting Colorweb. This isthe first US application of the new Colorweb system.

The support from all the manufacturers has been brilliant during start up and the Skynyrd tour is out until Christmas. The show programmed and rehearsed in Bandit's Venue One facility in Nashville. Owens spent five days and loaded every cue to every song from the 30 plus year career of Skynyrd. David "Fuji" Convertino was programmer for Owens while in rehearsal at Bandit. AC Lighting came down and spent a few days to make sure the deliver of the first US Colorweb system was flawless.
