Lighting designer Yeon-so Lee was responsible for the design, whilst Tryka's Korean distributor, C&C Electronics Company Ltd, supplied the products and carried out the installation. The designer's wish was to use LED lighting to create subtle pastel colours on the front of the building, to be visible as high as the third floor.
The Strip Module Optic from Tryka was able to achieve the very specific hues requested by the designer. Furthermore, the choice of optics available allows directing the light output as needed by the specific installation - in this case a narrow beam of 6º - and the IP67 rating means it can be used for all exterior installations.
Yeon-so Lee selected Tryka luminaires for this prestigious government building as their range of pastel colours surpassed all other L.E.D. light sources considered for the project. Jae-Hoon Ji, from C&C Electronics' Architectural Lighting Department, says: "The colours created are simply gorgeous and keep attracting the attention of passers-by, who comment on how the lighting makes the building come alive."
