France - Barco hosted its annual European rental partner meeting at the Euro Disney resort in France last week. Barco's annual three-day European rental partner meeting, which brings together the company's rental partners for its annual strategy presentation and new product introductions, was attended by 120 key commercial and technical representatives from 60 rental and staging companies throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

This year's agenda included strategy and product line presentations, as well as hands-on workshops on some of the latest Barco products, including the revolutionary MiPIX LED block, the ViewScape, Barco's Events Controller and Solaris LC40. With Barco's recent acquisition of Sacramento-based Folsom Research, this year's agenda also presented Barco's rental partners with the opportunity to get hands-on demonstrations of the Folsom ImagePRO and ScreenShaper, both used in conjunction with Barco products.

Steve Scorse, general manager of Barco Events commented: "Over the past three years, Barco's annual rental partner meetings have been attended by many of the industry's leading rental and staging companies. Having so many of the industry's key players attend our annual meeting presents us with the perfect opportunity to build an interactive forum at which information sharing and networking between Barco and its key partners takes centre stage. It is not only a question of launching our new product lines, but also about the market feedback and insight we gain by listening to our partners, this then guides us in the definition and development of our product lines for the coming year. In this way, we can continue to develop products and systems which answer the real needs of the rental and staging markets world wide."

Barco holds three regional rental partner meetings each year. All three meetings are held in the first half of the year, with the next regional meeting to take place at Lake Tahoe from 10 to 12 March for Barco's North American rental partners. Barco's final rental partner meeting for 2004 will take place in Asia in April this year.
