The Neon Flex 240V from Batmink.
UK - The Directors of Batmink Ltd, one of the UK's largest distributors of sound and lighting equipment, are looking forward to the inaugural PLASA Focus show (Leeds, UK, 28-29 April 2009). Sales director Grant Thomas explains why Batmink are so enthusiastic about the new show: "As wholesale distributors, we often find that visitors to the trade shows are there primarily to familiarise themselves with new products, rather than to establish contacts and suppliers for these goods. At PLASA Focus, the emphasis is more on networking and developing new business relationships which may well prove more successful for a wholesale distributor such as ourselves. PLASA's own figures indicate that 70% of pre-registered visitors didn't attend the PLASA show in London, so this is also an excellent opportunity to meet new potential clients who may not be aware of our products or services."

Batmink supplies a comprehensive range of equipment from major manufacturers, and is well known for offering alternatives to industry standard products at a price point that makes them accessible to the more budget-conscious. With this in mind, Batmink will be introducing several new 'Exclusive Distribution' products at this year's PLASA Focus.

First up is a new 240V Pro version of the popular LED Neon Flex, available in a variety of colours. Unlike the comparatively short continuous lengths provided by conventional 24V versions, the new Pro Neon Flex can deliver maximum continuous lengths of between 96 and 122 metres, depending on colour, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor installations. The 240v version doesn't require transforming, has lower power consumption and is significantly cheaper than previous 24V models, say Batmink.

Staying with LED lighting, Batmink will also debut a new 240V version of their LED Pipes. These linear strips of LEDs are perfect for highlighting architectural features or concealed lighting. Their compact design and minimal operating temperature makes the LED Pipe suitable for applications where space is at a premium. Available in 600mm or 1000mm lengths, either 100 or 150 pipes (depending on length) can be controlled via the SRC 181 controller. This controller allows for 3-channel DMX control or in stand-alone mode, the units can be set as a fixed colour, fade through all colours at variable speeds or strobe, again at variable speeds.

Also showcased will be the new LED Motion Tube - these IP65-rated polycarbonate units are driven by a dedicated controller, pre programmed with 10 animated effects and a range of colours which 'flow' across the tubes. By utilising additional power supplies and signal boosters, up to 4,000 tubes can be driven from one controller.
