USA - Following the success of the recent Be Seen, Be Heard event in London, the Be Seen, Be Heard community is now bringing the conversation to prominent USA trade show, LDI.

Organised by frame:work, Production Futures, and Disguise, the positive London event was hosted at Bluman Associates, London. It brought together thought leaders, industry pioneers, and emerging talents from the world of entertainment technology and design. Collectively, they presented panel discussions and storytelling sessions. These ignited insightful and forward-looking conversations around the value of diversity in the industry and how that might be achieved sooner rather than later.

Additionally, the Be Seen, Be Heard manifesto was conceived at the gathering – a progressive living document and a call to action that outlines steps for creating an industry workforce that fully reflects and represents the full diversity of society.

The upcoming event at LDI will be held on Tuesday, 10 December, midday, in Room W310, West Hall, at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. It will spotlight the critical value of fostering a representative workforce across all facets of the entertainment industry, from product development to backstage creatives and crews, alongside performer talent.

Attendees will have the opportunity to have conversations with people who feel under-represented within the industry and discuss how the barriers to entry might be addressed.

"Representation is more than a buzzword; it’s a necessity for a thriving, innovative industry," says Sarah Cox, Neutral Human’s founding director and one of the London and LDI event organisers. "This event is about translating ideas into action, showing how we can create and develop workplaces that welcome everyone and that ensure diverse perspectives are shared and celebrated onstage and behind the scenes. We are all looking forward to welcoming anyone who would like to attend this event and hearing and sharing their views."
