The two-year contract, which begins in January 2009, will see DB working with Rapiergroup to design innovative and bespoke AV solutions for BAE Systems' exhibits at over 28 exhibitions and events around the world. These include Farnborough, Paris, Dubai and Singapore Airshows, DSEi London, IDEX in Abu Dhabi and LAAD in Rio de Janeiro.
Previously, DB worked with Rapiergroup for BAE Systems between 2006 and 2008. However, to win this new contract DB successfully came through a competitive five-way pitch, which was spearheaded by David Bulley, Managing Director, and Jay Goldson, Senior Account Manager, who will also oversee this contract. BAE Systems is the third largest global defence company in the world and has annual sales of over £15.7 billion.
Oliver Richardson, sales director of DB Systems, commented: "We're delighted that Rapiergroup has awarded DB this two-year contract. It was a tough tender process but I believe our experience working in the aerospace industry, along with our ability to provide first class AV support on a global basis, was a key factor. We endeavour to always provide great value for money. We have a solid professional relationship with Rapiergroup and we're looking forward to building upon this over the next couple of years."
Chris Whittaker, group operations director at Rapiergroup, said: "We signed the two-year contract with DB Systems simply because they demonstrated 'Best Value', through creative thinking and program planning. Over last two years DB Systems has given a dedicated and totally professional service."
