"With control over Ethernet via integration with the third-party control system and the AudiaFLEX network-friendly design architecture, we were able to create a single IP network incorporating audio distribution and paging with touchscreen control that also covers lighting and system monitoring," said BCL's Puthenkulam. "For audio distribution we have eight AudiaFLEX CM units located in separate rack rooms, but working together with convenient control points throughout the facilities. It was this flexibility that helped us meet the client requests. The client has been very happy with the system."
Puthenkulam continued: "The seamless integration of Audia with the control system allowed us to provide control luxuries that wouldn't have been possible with another system configuration. For instance, we have touchscreen controllers in the VIP lounges that Al Badia guests can use to control the volume of certain audio sources. Yet we didn't need to add any additional components to do this - AudiaFLEX can handle it all."
BCL Business Communications was also able to create a paging system using the AudiaFLEX processors so that course employees have paging capabilities from each of the starter huts. The AudiaFLEX is also a part of the club's broadcast network installed by BCL Business Communications. This allows club operators to route audio signals through the AudiaFLEX and down to the broadcast truck dock.
