Vocia 1.3 introduces four new amplifiers to the full family of paging product line. These small amplifiers are ideal for projects that have areas to be covered with small zones or provide local analogue inputs. Underscoring the importance of reliability, Vocia's new failover module adds comprehensive failover capability, with 7:1 or dual 3:1 failover, complementing the already built-in, device-to-device and 1:1 channel failover capability in the large amplifier.
Biamp also says that Vocia 1.3 software provides improved notification options, including more intuitive email notifications and a System Mute option for each "world" within a Vocia system (or 'universe').The System Mute function will mute all paging and background audio but does not mute emergency-level pages or messages. Finally, system programming and use is easier with additional VoIP routes, support for 10,000 .wav audio files in the VTP (Vocia Text Protocol) use, and alarm categories that provide better system visualisation.
"We're committed to developing a system platform in Vocia that provides systems integrators with the things they need most - flexibility, scalability and reliability. This Vocia release of enhanced hardware products and software tools will enable them to approach critical paging applications more creatively and at a lower cost to their customers," said Steve Metzger, president of Biamp Systems.
