Endemol Shine Africa produces the Angolan version of the Big Brother Reality Television Franchise for DSTV. This is the seventh consecutive year that Blond has worked on the series.
"It's a privilege to be part of an on-going production which has consisted of various countries and formats," said Christiaan Ballot, owner of Blond. "It's one of the shows that has helped us grow through the years."
Lighting designer Mauritz Neethling from Blond, created a slick looking design and control was on a MA onPC command wing & extension wing.
Creating eye-catching beams, particularly useful for camera work, 12 x Robe Mini-Points and 36 x Robin 100 LEDBeam worked their magic. The rig also included 12 x Robe MMX Spots, 24 x Robe CycFX4, 12 x Robe 700AT Spots, 12 x Robin 300 LEDWash, 12 Clay Paky Sharpys and 78 x Anolis Arklink 4 RGBW LED Units.
This year, the set was given a fresh, clean look by incorporating the actual lighting fixtures into the set. "We used the Robin 100 LEDBeams for this purpose and for the very first time, the CycFX4," explained Christiaan. "The CycFX4s were amazing, especially to create eye candy and to add something different to the show."
