"We committed to dLive for a number of reasons - confidence in the brand from many years of successful touring and return on investment with iLive and Qu series boards; Allen & Heath's responsiveness to their professional users' requirements and willingness to adapt the technology to the market; a need to stand out in a competitive market with a board which meets and exceeds rider requirements - 96k Waves and Dante integration with the new system cards is a game changer; and a belief that we are mixing on one of the world's best sounding consoles without over-capitalising in a regional market," explains Adam Biggs at Biggsounds Productions.
Based in New South Wales, Biggsounds is a highly regarded live sound production company, which provides sales and installation services to the pro audio, education and church markets. The company bought its first dLive system earlier this year, comprising the flagship S7000 Control Surface and DM64 MixRack, and has since invested in a second system, comprising a S5000 and DM32.
"dLive has impressed us on every level, and with every tour it finds new fans in engineers and artists impressed with the performance and usability. My own crew comment regularly on the difference you can hear and feel with every subtle adjustment. This platform will be our way forward for many years to come. In a crowded marketplace, with a multitude of prestigious brands competing for market share, A&H has produced a rider-ready system which will provide a serious contender to the old guard," concludes Biggs.
