Andrew and Victoria Bishop will be welcoming visitors to the stand armed with another essential local product - samples of Yorkshire tea
USA - BishopSound, the fast-growing Yorkshire-based PA specialist, is making its NAMM debut this year, giving international visitors to the show the chance to meet the owner Andrew Bishop and discuss what promises to be a busy year for his company.
Having recently launched its first passive line array system, and while simultaneously expanding its wide range of affordable PA equipment, this year BishopSound will be introducing a series of new UK-designed and manufactured speakers aimed at the top end of the professional market.
The first of the new models will be a 2x18" high power subwoofer; initially designed to complement the company's new Delta Dual 8" passive line array, the new high-power subwoofer is likely to find many other uses due to its exceptional performance, BishopSound predicts.
Also, to be launched this year this year will be a new three-way enclosure featuring a 15" woofer, 8" mid-range driver and 1.75" HF unit, again designed and manufactured in the UK and featuring British made speakers. The third BishopSound introduction will be a high-fidelity passive wedge monitor available in left- or right-hand versions.
BishopSound is working closely with the veteran UK speaker manufacturer Celestion which will be producing speakers for the new products to BishopSound's specification in its Ipswich factory in the UK.
Finally, BishopSound has announced an agreement with the noted speaker designer Mykey Hurley which will see the company licence-building Hurley's AK47 enclosure, increasingly popular in the reggae sound system market. BishopSound's AK47 will also be manufactured entirely in the UK.
