Blackout will be donating up to £1,000 to support the charity initiative which aims to Make the World Better with a Sweater. The team got together for a festive-themed photo shoot, featuring Christmas jumpers, props, and a festive star cloth backdrop. The photos are currently being shared on Twitter and Facebook, with £2 donated for every re-tweet, like or share.
Louise Nomes, marketing manager from Blackout explains all: "We always donate to charity at Christmas time but this year we were feeling particularly in the Christmas spirit and wanted to do something a bit different.
"In addition to donating money to a good cause the campaign allows us to spread the word and encourage others to join in. The pictures will all be released on our Twitter channel, @Blackoutltd, and our Facebook page and every time an image is re-tweeted, shared or liked, we pledge to donate £2 to the charity.
"To inspire others to give money to the cause we have also signed up as one of Christmas Jumper Day's mobile fundraising teams, and people can donate £2 by texting our team name TEAMBLACKOUT2 to 70050. This year the UK government is matching every pound donated, so that the total gets doubled. A big thanks in advance to everyone liking and sharing our pictures or who adds their own donations. We hope everyone has a woolly fantastic Christmas and new year!"
Christmas Jumper Day takes place on 12 December, but text donations will continue until January 2015. You can like and share Blackout's photos until 31 December - the total will be announced 1 January.
