Consisting of over 20,000sq.ft, the new facility has warehouse space to provide ample storage to support the company's expanded inventory and growth for the future. There will also be dedicated prep & pre-production spaces for incoming crews to oversee and prepare larger shows prior to despatch to site, plus a dedicated space to allow clients to hold production meetings.
The new facility is set within a large secure compound with several loading bays and storage for multiple trucks. The expansion will also result in further growth of the Blinding Light team, with a number of new warehouse technicians coming on board to support the additional workload. The new site is well located for fast motorway and rail links into London and the rest of the UK, plus easy access for shows heading to Europe.
Last week, Blinding Light continued its expansion with the announcement of Loz Wilcox to its project management team. Loz, who joins as an account director, will be working on a number of projects in the coming months with his colleagues, all of whom will be based at the new site.
Blinding Light's managing director, Patrick Stacey said, "2015 was an extremely exciting year for us. Everyone in the team has worked incredibly hard to achieve the extraordinary growth that we have experienced. Our move to these new larger premises will enable us to continue delivering work to the very highest standards, and to continue to build on our reputation of being the first choice for quality, service and cost in the industry."
