During the BBC showcase event, Blitz presented its new HD digital wireless camera systems; which provide a unique industry offering from the Blitz Charter Group. It also boasted the latest in HD graphics and caption generation as well as the most recent advances in hard drive playback/record devices and brand new HD video projectors. It extended its portfolio further as it demonstrated the latest digital audio mixing consoles for use in the broadcast and live events industries, as well as high resolution LED display technologies. The day presented a unique opportunity for customers and prospects to see such a spread of technologies across one organisation.
David Carr, head of production (studios) at Sky comments: "We use a lot of the technologies that Blitz supply in our studios, so this was a unique opportunity to come and meet the team and view the technologies which were extremely impressive. In fact, the day was so impressive and worthwhile that we are considering doing something similar at Sky."
The BBC showcase event was the first of a number of such days, and was well attended by broadcast and live events industry experts, say the company. The next demonstration day will be at Granada Studios in Manchester during the autumn.
