Blitz is providing a full range of services for the show, supplying AV equipment including video control systems as well as a complete sound solution. The show began its journey in Hackney and is set to tour around the UK in 2008.
Blitz provided a d&b speaker system, Sennheiser radio mics and a Yamaha M7CL mixer. This technical setup was pioneered by sound designer Ian Horrocks-Taylor for the Lazy Town production, and Blitz worked alongside him to ensure consistency in the quality.
Ian Horrocks-Taylor explains: "Lazy Town carries an important message which is portrayed to the audience in a fun and highly entertaining manner so our technical partnership is paramount to delivering this and to the success of the entire show. Working with Blitz and its equipment allows us to capture and hold the children's attention, and while they dance with excitement, we help to bring the message home using the most innovative and up-to-date 'behind the scenes' technology."
Chris Jordan, head of theatre at Blitz comments: "This is an exciting project and we are dedicated to ensuring that the technical element of each show throughout the tour is as effective as the last. We are using technology designed to guarantee high performance and yet can be easily be packed away for touring."
