The striking interior features white panelled walls and an entrance foyer leading to a grand staircase
UK - A new venue has just opened its doors in Chavasse Park in Liverpool, with décor inspired by a New England-style Hamptons beach house, so it is fitting that the sound system that was chosen by systems integrator Adlib was Bose. Coincidentally, Bose has its global headquarters in Boston, New England's gateway city in the US, so whilst it may seem unconnected, there is a neat synergy to the coming together of style and sound.

The Club House, a flagship venue owned and operated by New World Trading Company (NWTC) comprises a 200 capacity split level restaurant, bar, private dining, beer tasting room, and a huge outdoor area with a bar and BBQ, catering for an additional 400 covers, so the audio system had to deliver on looks, coverage and audio quality both inside and out. The striking interior features white panelled walls and an entrance foyer leading to a grand staircase with a stunning bespoke chandelier made from 64 suspended wine glasses.

The venue required speakers that were as unobtrusive as possible, whilst still delivering a great audio experience for both background and live music. The size and layout of the building requires seven audio zones, all of which required quality sound which can be easily managed by the operational team.

Adlib selected Bose FreeSpace 3 satellite speakers with concealed bass for the main restaurant space, with Bose FreeSpace DS100F in the private dining, and FreeSpace DS100SE environmental speakers for the external areas. Live music is key to the success of the venue, and the system had to be capable of delivering quality sound seven days a week from 11am to 2am, from both recorded music for quieter times, and live music - piano, guitar and vocals - during peak periods.

Steven Walter, the audio consultant from Genre Music, has received very favourable reviews for both the sound quality and the aesthetics. "The Bose speakers have given us fantastic audio coverage in the restaurant, private dining room and outdoor spaces. I'm pleased to report that the project designers, PDI Imagineering, have been very impressed with how Adlib Audio and I have incorporated the audio system into their beautiful designs. I have had numerous comments from managers and musicians about the excellent quality of the sound."
