UK - Britannia Row Productions Training is now offering a new range of courses. From complete beginner, to professional wanting to progress their career, Brit Row is opening up more opportunities than ever to learn about live sound from a company with 40 years experience in the industry. Training is now based at Britannia Row Productions head office in Twickenham. Courses for 2015 include:

A Talk on Live Sound Industry - one day - An overview and insight into what the Live Sound Industry is all about and how it works.

Live Sound Basic two-day PA Course - Learn how to jump onto a small P.A. This two-day course is suitable for anyone who needs or wants to do this and is not entirely sure how to go about it - from the person working with their friend's band, to the teacher who needs to get the PA system out of the cupboard a couple of times a year and make it work for the school panto and prize-giving day.

On the two-day course taught over two consecutive Saturday or Sunday, you will be taken through a simple P.A, System from A-Z in the first day and a half. The last afternoon is spent on practical hands-on practice including mixing using multi-track playback machines.

This short course is designed to help you set up a small P.A. system, use microphones, mix the sound and monitors from the same 'Front of House' digital mixing console and carry out basic fault-finding. It does not go deeply into the internal components of a system. It is about the basics of getting one going and driving it.

Live Sound Fundamentals - 15 x 1 day Modular Course + Assessment day - The course teaches entry level fundamentals for those wanting to work in Live Sound as semi- professionals, or in a local venue or small sound or AV company.

It is taught over 15 one-day sessions on consecutive Saturdays or Sundays. Each session can be taken as an individual stand-alone module for those wanting to brush-up on a particular subject but to get the best from this course it is recommended that the whole course is taken.

Live Sound Intermediate - 15 x one day module Course + Assessment Day - The Live Sound Intermediate Course is designed for those who have taken the Live Sound Fundamentals Course and have subsequently had had a few months working experience and wish to go onto the next level or, for those that have gained their knowledge from some hands on live sound experience and feel that they cannot move further forward without some training to get to the next level. It is designed to take participant from entry through to professional levels.

As with the Live Sound Fundamentals Course, the Intermediate Course is taught over fifteen 1 Day Sessions on consecutive Saturdays or Sundays. Each session can be taken as an individual stand-alone module for those wanting to brush-up on a particular subject, but to get the best from this course it is recommended that the whole course is taken.

Live Sound Technology Course - The Live Sound Technology Course is a full-time intensive 12 week Course with over 440 hours of training and hands on practice. It embraces all elements of Live Sound Basics, Live Sound Fundamentals and the Live Sound Intermediate Courses and much, much more.

The Course places a big emphasis in getting people into work at a professional level. It is particularly useful for overseas participants for whom attending our part-time courses is impractical.

"Britannia Row productions Training exists right at the heart of the live production industry, giving students direct exposure to the latest professional audio equipment, procedures and techniques being used in the real world," says Barry Bartlett, course director.
