Newton faced challenges often found in smaller clubs-low ceilings, which meant little head room for truss and lighting fixtures that are easily touched-as well as a tight budget. He divided the intimate space into four zones, placing two MiN Spot RGBW movers in each. To fill some awkward corners just off the dance floor, Newton utilized four Intimidator Scan LED 200 scanners. The compactness of these fixtures allowed them to remain discreet and out of reach.
"I was able to spread lots of beams across the dance floor," said Newton. "The MiN Spot RGBW is the right product for that size room. They keep the movement going and there aren't any dead spots. It's a big effect for the money."
Hung from the ceiling, blasting the dance floor, are the Hurricane 1800 Flex foggers. The club, which fits 500 - 800 people, is now filled with energizing and colourful moving lights in just a few minutes.
"I programmed eight scenes straight away to keep it nice and simple," said Newton. "All the moving heads are activated by buttons while the two Circus are in standalone. Nothing overpowers anything else. There's a purposeful balance when all the lights are on."
