JP Cavaco, sales manager at LMC Audio and Charlie Raworth, MD & proprietor of Bush Hall
UK - Popular West London live music venue, Bush Hall, has recently invested in a Midas PRO2 console.

Charlie Raworth, managing director and proprietor of Bush Hall, made the decision to 'go digital' following the venue's chief engineer, George Hider's, visit to the PLASA Show last year.

"George went along to PLASA 2011 where he was able to compare the new Midas PRO2 with other desks and the Midas was by far and away the winner,", comments Raworth. The PRO2 is part of a fixed installation for gigs and events at Bush Hall.

Raworth continues, "Now that we have gone digital, the improvement in performance has been significant. The PRO2 has been very successful. All of our house engineers are loving it, getting very techy and geeky with it, and promoters and tour managers have been similarly impressed."

Following Hider's initial interest in the console, JP Cavaco, sales manager at LMC Audio, advised Bush Hall on their various options and arranged subsequent demonstrations. Raworth comments, "Working with LMC has been good. JP and the team have been very helpful and, through LMC, our engineers have received specific training on the desk from MIDAS, plus further training is available should we need it."

He adds, "The cost of upgrading can always be a risk to take, but we are confident that PRO2 has been a very worthwhile investment and that bookings will only increase as a result."

Raworth has owned and run Bush Hall for 11 years now. "I started it up as a music and entertainment venue from scratch" he explains. "Originally it was a dance hall, and when I acquired it, it was a snooker and social club. I came across to music from TV and had never previously worked for a venue or been directly involved in the music industry, so we did it on a wing and a prayer...and a great deal of hard work. We think we've made it a success as we've held loads of great gigs, shows and events here, making many a punter very happy."
