Freelance sound engineer Marek Witkowski and Tommex senior sales manager Piotr Wosiek with the CDC six and CDC eight during training sessions at Cadac's UK HQ
UK / Poland - Cadac has announced the appointment of Tommex, among the oldest most established audio companies in Poland, as its exclusive distributor for that territory.

The distributor agreement was signed immediately following Cadac's launch of its new CDC six console; a product for which Tommex envisages significant demand on its installation projects and amongst its customer base.

Tommex can trace its origins back to the difficult, pioneering Communist era of the 1970s, when founder Jan Tomasz Zebrowski founded a workshop to distribute and service Dynacord equipment in Poland. By the time Poland became a democracy, the company was servicing many state theatres and concert venues, and had become a gateway for professional audio equipment into several Soviet bloc republics. With democratisation came the opportunity to expand and take on the distribution of many western audio brands. Today the company has five branch offices throughout Poland and a roster of top international brands that includes Bosch, Community, Dynacord, Sennheiser, Televic and now Cadac.

"Cadac fulfills perfectly our projects in the fixed installations sector, and for us this is the first step," states Marcin Zimny, Tommex's commercial director. "Most of these projects have a public sector investor, so we compete via detailed tenders. We design systems to meet the project specifications, incorporating our loudspeaker and amplifier brands and cooperate with our competitors using consoles already available in Polish market. Now Cadac will enable us to specify systems for these projects entirely from our own portfolio.

"We are exclusive distributors for Dynacord, with a portfolio of loudspeakers dedicated to community centres, and also to small and mid-size live concert venues. We are also exclusive distributors of Community Loudspeakers. Cadac is a perfect match for installations with these products. We currently have two projects in the pipeline where we have signed contracts and we will deliver a Cadac CDC six console with stageracks to work with Dynacord loudspeakers on one project, and a CDC four:m with stagerack and Community I Series for the other."

Richard Ferriday, Cadac director of sales and marketing concludes, "We are extremely pleased that Tommex has joined our growing international distribution network, as they bring a wealth of experience in selling consoles to all sectors of the live audio market in Poland. I have had the pleasure of working with them in the past and experienced first-hand the professional integrity, knowledge, enthusiasm, and leading customer support which defines Tommex."
