CIE-Audio has been appointed as exclusive representatives for B-52 in the UK; the brand joins CIE's already extensive portfolio of key represented brands including Inter-M, Switchcraft, Armstrong i-ceilings, Chaiyo, Euromet and Amina. With its success based upon quality and innovative product development, B-52 has previously won the American Disc Jockey Product of the Year Award for its ACT-18 active subwoofer featuring 1200W digital amplifier weighing just 6lbs. Most recently, this same technology has been incorporated into B-52's LX-18A - creating the world's first active folded horn subwoofer, according to the manufacturer.
B-52's extensive product line also features a complete series of high end permanent installation music speakers ranging from 300W low ceiling systems for late night venue/AV installation, right through to the PA-1515X dual 15" 1300W full range system for live sound and playback environments.
B-52's new Matrix 1000 (700-watt System) and Matrix 2000 (1200-watt System) consist of two 10" or 12" (respectively) two-way satellite speakers and active subwoofer to provide complete portable sound reinforcement solutions ideal for applications such as AV hire, Mobile DJ, small group live performance, stage monitoring or bar/restaurant installation. Each of the two satellite loudspeakers is loaded with two-way B-52 custom speakers and 0.75" titanium compression drivers mounted to 90° x 40° CD horns. These versatile full-range units are designed for pole-mounting, floor mounting or as stage monitors, with concave fronts to fit perfectly fit into the front grille of the active subwoofer for ease of packing and transportation. Each Subwoofer features a 700W or 1200W three-channel amplifier with circuitry fine-tuned to match the satellite speakers for optimum sound performance.
The complete Matrix System comes as a 'three pieces into one, lock together' solution with high performance casters and protective cover to provide a complete, easy to transport, easy to set up, powered sound reinforcement solution in one.
