The award-winning Coemar Reflection
UK - At the 2010 PLASA Show in London, Coemar announced the launch of Reflection FullSpectrum, a new concept in LED lighting fixtures.

Reflection brings a familiar part of traditional Par lighting fixtures - the interchangeable light source - to the new world of LED lighting fixtures. The lightsource directs light from a combination of LEDs onto a parabolic reflector, giving an output which is bright, but which also eliminates the RGB dots and multi-coloured shadows which have plagued many other LED fixtures. Reflection gives a pure, uniformly coloured beam that can also be zoomed smoothly from 18 to 37 degrees.

Two version of the Reflection lightsource are available. The RGB version offers full spectrum colour mixing and also a dramatic, boosted strobe/blinder effect that can be used in any colour. The VariWhite version offers colour temperature selection across the white range. Both versions have high-precision dimming with multiple fade curve options to simulate halogen or discharge-based fixtures.

Reflection can also be used with existing Par accessories, including barn doors, colour frames and scrollers, and standard filters can be used to create effects such as beam shaping.

Offering a light output comparable to 500w and 750w halogen fixtures, Reflection draws just 190w at full output. The fixture is also designed for a long, reliable worklife, with liquid-cooled LEDs designed to operate at their ideal operating temperature to give a 50,000 hour operating life, and with the fixture's modular construction allowing for easy repair and maintenance.

With patents pending on several aspects of its design, Reflection won the PLASA Award for Innovation.
