USA - Color Kinetics Incorporated, recently announced the continued expansion of its OEM product line with eight new offerings - all designed to give manufacturers flexible options for cost-effectively developing and delivering complete lighting systems based on market-proven technology, say Color Kinetics.

The new offerings include additional Digital Light Engines (DLEs), new power/data modules, and proprietary chips that Color Kinetics is making available to third parties for the first time. "This launch marks the next step in our expanding OEM product strategy, through which we can further propagate the use of Color Kinetics' technology in existing core markets and in entirely new ones," said Bill Sims, President and COO, Color Kinetics. "The technology and system-based approach that we've researched, funded and developed over seven years to date is available through new flexible options for third parties, whether they want to leverage our control and power technologies or develop fully integrated lighting systems."

The new Series 200 product line is based on the Chromacore and Chromasic technology platforms, and includes intelligent solid-state lighting devices and components, such as new DLEs, power/data modules that bring system-level intelligence to third-party power supplies or lighting fixtures, and Color Kinetics' custom-designed Chromasic microchip. These offerings support sophisticated color and color-changing applications that may require control of individual LED nodes, including the display of graphics and video.

The Series 100 product line is based on the Chromacore technology platform, and includes intelligent solid-state lighting devices in various form factors, all compatible with Color Kinetics' power, control, and authoring technologies, as well as standard DMX control and authoring systems. They support diverse color and color-changing applications such as wall washing and grazing, cove and accent lighting, and water-based applications. New to this line are additional DLEs and power/data modules.

The OEM product line now spans core components and subsystems, providing versatile building blocks for complete, end-to-end lighting systems that are backed by support, services and the expertise Color Kinetics has gained through its hundreds of thousands of intelligent solid-state lighting devices shipped worldwide. Color Kinetics expects to offer additional product series based on its ongoing research and development efforts in the future.
