Germany / UK - Coolux will unveil a number of new products at PLASA '06. First up, the Pandoras Box MediaManager is a standalone control and overview software which allows the user to operate and control the company's Pandoras Box MediaServers or MediaPlayers with his own Laptop or PC. The software comes in three versions light (LT), standard (STD) and professional (PRO). Only the STD and PRO version allow a standalone programming. The light version (LT) is an additional device viewer for programming Pandoras Box with any DMX lighting board and allows a better overview of projects and files. The MediaManager STD is a one timeline based programmable software solution; with MediaManager PRO users can have two timelines for programming, and it also comes with an additional hardware keypad including Jog shuttle and Pre-Set buttons.

Next, the Pandoras Box MediaVision is designed to control multiple Coolux MediaServers and MediaPlayers, as well as interfacing with RS 232/422 MIDI and Timecode devices. As a versatile control unit, the user may store commands and clips in multiple timelines and setup screens and playback control for any show setup. The MediaVision allows synchronous playback of multiple devices via its proprietary network sync protocol MediaNet. Its remote control protocol allows uploading and managing any coolux server and playback products for advanced preview and live editing.

Pandoras Box MediaServer v3.0 includes a Remote File and Server management system, as well as a new MediaNet sync protocol for frame accurate synchronisation and playback of all servers and devices. The upgrade allows the user to work with additional layers (up to 24) and includes a new enhanced effects engine. The new software version 3.0 for the MediaPlayer range includes also a Remote File & Player management system and a new project-orientated user interface. The MediaPlayer range will be compatible with the MediaNet sync protocol and will has additional layers (up to five) and includes a new keystoning capability.
