After studying the classics at university, Barthelemi turned to his passion for theatre and continued his education in lighting technology before joining rental company Texen in the South of France. From 1991 to 2008 he managed their Montpellier office, specialising in the installation of stage equipment for all kind of venues, from small cultural centres to large scale Opera.
In September 2008 he moved to State Automation to manage their European agency based in Paris. During this time he spearheaded State Automation's growth in Europe and established the brand as the high technology solution for professional venues through the European market.
"Following the agreement to exclusively distribute State Automation products in Europe at the end of last year, Francois was instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition into the Cooper portfolio and is a fantastic addition to our growing team," says Ken Walma, general manager, Cooper Controls. "We are delighted to welcome Francois. Fluent in four languages, his extensive international market and project experience will play a pivotal role in our aggressive plans and structure for the Zero 88 and State Automation brands."
"It's a great opportunity to join Cooper Controls," said Barthelemi. "I sold Zero 88 products during the years I was at Texen, so I know their reliability and quality. Now with State Automation in the basket, we have a control solution for all levels of the installation. There is a true synergy between the two brands and I am looking forward to building their success."
