UK - Wireless LED specialist and manufacturer Core Lighting celebrates the sale of its 4000th ColourPoint wireless LED uplighter as the demand continues for lightweight, long lasting, high output, shadowless wireless LED units that can be quickly deployed in numerous locations at all types of corporate and private events.

When Core's ColourPoint first hit the market in 2013, it made a big impact because at only 4 Kgs, it was a quarter of the weight and considerably more cost effective than its competitors - all attributes offered without any compromise on the quality or light output..

The first ColourPoint fixtures were sold through UK distributor White Light to busy south London based event production company, Presentation Rentals - now known as PR Live. The most recent sale - including the actual 4000th fixture itself - was to AV and lighting consultants DCLX.

The ColourPoint was compatible with all Core's previous wireless LED products, and in October 2014, the ColourPoint Mk II was launched, further streamlining the product, offering additional features like selectable master/slave with the ability to transmit wireless DMX, video flicker removal for TV work and also the option of cable DMX out.

"Affordability and practicality" are among many keys to the product's success according to Core MD Phil Ion, who has focussed the R&D on producing a dynamic range of complete and practical wireless LED systems, encompassing fixtures with integral charging facilities and transportation solutions.

"It's not just been about producing a quality, compact lightsource, it's about considering the whole usage scenario and making it straightforward and workable," explains Phil.

Event crews appreciate their ease of use and the robustness of the charging solution - available in a choice of neatly flightcased packages that make transportation logistics really straightforward.

As a celebration of the success of the product, Core and its exclusive European distributor White Light are offering a significant discount on ColourPoint until the end of August.

White Light can also co-ordinate monthly finance packages to assist smaller companies and organisations make their first investment in this technology.

This has resulted in many investing sooner and getting a return immediately, further boosting ColourPoint sales and also bringing them within the reach of emerging companies providing lighting for weddings, parties and smaller corporate events. AC Disco in Oxford and Something Hue in Colwyn Bay are recent examples.

As well as major event companies in the UK like PR Live, Fisher Productions, Banana Split, PSAV, Saville Productions, RM Lighting and others, high profile venues purchasing ColourPoints, include the QE2 Conference Centre, 20 Fenchurch Street Sky Gardens and Kings Place in London, plus various corporates for event spaces and the National Trust's Hanbury Hall in Worcestershire.

Core also has a growing international presence via dealers in conjunction with White Light in mainland Europe, especially in France, Holland, Belgium and Scandinavia. Also in the USA, initially with Core's own distributor and now in a new partnership with New York based City Theatrical Inc.
