Mark Damon, director of Cosmic Electronics, comments: "The House and Terrace is a top venue, and one of south London's most up and coming clubs. Closely linked to Space in Ibiza - with monthly Space nights - the club had already experienced Void products, such as the Mycro 8s as DJ monitors in their main room. They were impressed with what they heard and chose an all-Void system when the time came to re-equip the Upstairs space.
"The new system had to be a good fit with the club's interior, provide the required sound levels and, of course, meet the budget. Once customers have heard Void systems, they are usually convinced - Their loudspeakers are also less dependent on electronic processing than some brands, making it simpler to get a good sounding result."
In the 200-capacity Upstairs room at the House Club and Terrace, the loudspeakers are firing into the dance floor area, with three 2 x 18 Stasys 8 subs ground-stacked, and the four Impulse 3t mid/highs flown above the floor. Four Mycro 8s are used as side-fills, and the system is controlled by a Void Digidrive V2 loudspeaker management system, with power coming from four Void Infinite V2 amplifiers and totalling some 20kW. Cosmic Electronics also installed each DJ booth with a pair of Mycro 8 loudspeakers as monitors, plus a Pioneer DJM-800 mixer, twin Pioneer CDJ-1000 Mk3 CD decks and twin Technics SL1210 mk5 turntables.
