Founded in 2002 by Tristian Bickerton, The Wireless Works operates alongside CT at many prestigious events including Wimbledon, Glastonbury and the Olympic Games. The two businesses also service many common clients in the wider corporate events market and have a shared ethos of delivering high end specialist technical services, driven by innovative people and best in class technology.
The development and recent launch of CT's Integrated Networks division has created new synergies and opportunities in an increasingly complex and core area of technical event delivery. In the immediate future, the business will continue to operate just as it has for the last 15 years from its premises in Godalming, with Tristian as managing director.
Early next year, following the completion of CT's expansion into additional and larger premises, the company will relocate to Crawley and be fully merged into the CT business. At that time, Tristian will assume a more focused sales and business development role.
Tristian Bickerton comments: "I am incredibly proud of everything we have achieved over the last 15 years since I founded the firm. We have developed a unique position in a highly specialist sector. This is down to two groups of very special people - the team here and our clients. As we start a new chapter in the life of this company, I am excited about the future and the opportunities we share together."
Dave Crump, CT's CEO for Europe and the Middle East, adds: "We have known Tristian for many years; he worked at CT prior to forming The Wireless Works and we have worked closely together ever since, often for the same clients and regularly at the same events.
"The Wireless Works name will be retained for the time being as it is believed to add value to the company's position and recognition in the market. All of us at CT look forward to welcoming Tristian and his people to our team and continuing our exciting journey."
