In the main room a super wide screen measuring 42.5m by 3.5m was created using seven flown Panasonic DZ21K projectors
UK - Xerocon London 2015 marked one of the UK's largest gatherings of its kind with over 800 people attending. The two day conference held by leading accountancy software company Xero boasted over 40 exhibitors, nine guest speakers and the launch of Xero's latest product updates.

For Xerocon's second year in the UK, production agency Lipfriend Rodd International Ltd once again engaged Creative Technology (CT). In addition to providing the equipment and crew for the main conference, CT also supplied the three breakout rooms and the gala dinner.

In the main room a super wide screen measuring 42.5m by 3.5m was created using seven flown Panasonic DZ21K projectors. The internal warping and soft edge blending capabilities of these projectors produced one giant seamless image.

As well as displaying presentation graphics, the screen relayed live footage of the speakers captured via three CT cameras. Rob Day, CT project manager, said, "When dealing with this kind of projection, the Watchout media server lends itself perfectly to the task - multiple channels, frame accurate, synchronised playback and a high level of control."

As the brief included multiple video layers and outputs to the screen, a Spyder switcher was used enabling seamless switching of graphics sources, including laptops, tablets and smart phones.

Elliot Levi, senior producer and executive director for Lipfriend Rodd, commented, "The 42.5m widescreen looked phenomenal. The projectionists and engineers did a great job with the seven projector blend - especially as the screen was curved. When delegates walked into the room there was an audible gasp as they saw the screen for the first time."

As a full service provider, CT also supplied the audio used in the main room. A fully flown sound system was installed using the new Y series cabinets, as well as T and J series Infra Subs.

For the breakout rooms CT provided a 103" plasma screen with local switching and a PA system, aiding with the speakers' presentations. CT also installed a social media LCD wall measuring 3m by 5m which was used to display feeds throughout the event.
