Portugal - With all eyes focused on Lisbon this summer, CT Screenco has been in the thick of the action. The company supplied two 50sq.m JTS35 JumboTron CRT displays for a large carnival, before taking up residency in a nearby park to relay the action from Euro 2004. Staged over three days in Parque do Tejo (situated within the Nations Park), the 10th SuperBock SuperRock event (promoted by Música no Coraçao) featured an all-star cast, including Fatboy Slim, Lenny Kravitz, Massive Attack, the Pixies, N.E.R.D., Muse, Linkin Park and Korn.

The thousands who participated in the carnival-like atmosphere were given a clear view - thanks to the strategic placement of two of the giant screens with which CT Screenco first established the industry-standard for outdoor big-screen reference.

Meanwhile, across the north-west of the city, the Municipality of Lisbon were making plans to have all Euro 2004 football matches beamed to visitors to the city. They contracted CT Screenco to provide via a large 72sq.m 25mm LED screen, which was strategically sited in Park de Monsanto.

CT Screenco's Adrian Offord said that - with the exception of England's elimination - it had been a satisfying three weeks for the company. "Working for the largest promoters in Lisbon on the one hand, and the local authority on the other, we helped to ensure that the maximum number of people could view the respective activities at close quarters."
