These changes all form part of the Avesco Group's strategy to consolidate and redefine its operating businesses in response to the rapidly changing and developing market circumstances in the UK, Europe and around the world.
From 1 May all of Avesco's operations outside the UK will be united under the Creative Technology brand. Alongside this consolidation there are a number of significant management changes.
In Holland the JVR business will be merged with the existing CT Holland operation under managing director Jeroen Jongenelen. CT Holland, established in March 2011, has previously focused on major entertainment and sports projects, whilst sister company JVR have predominantly serviced the Corporate and TV markets. The merger of the two operations will create a single and connected sales and project management structure across the entire operation. CT Holland will become the central hub for CT's mainland Europe operations providing commercial support for the operations in Germany and Spain.
CT Spain (formerly Action) was launched on 1 April. The business, which was originally established in 2008, has grown steadily under the leadership of Fred Mouffe. Headquartered in Barcelona with a small office in Madrid, CT Spain offers a high quality full service solution in the heart of Europe's leading convention destination. The relaunch as CT will allow Fred and his team to offer a broader range of products and services and become fully integrated in CT's global network of specialist AV businesses.
The process of restructuring CT Germany continues; the technical inventory will be more integrated with other CT locations alongside a further reduction in operational headcount. This will allow the streamlined team, lead by Jurgen Kopany access to a much broader range of equipment and services, with the option of more local delivery and subsequently reduced costs for many of our clients.
In the Middle East, CT will be strengthening the ties between the operations in Dubai and Doha. Damien McGurn who started the Dubai business in 2007 has left the company. Andy Reardon based in Doha will take the lead in the ME region from a general Business and sales perspective whilst Mark Woodhouse becomes General Manager of CT's Dubai operation. Over the quieter summer period much of the inventory will be upgraded or replaced. The business is in the process of recruiting new technical and project management staff ready for a full relaunch in the coming months.
Dave Crump CEO of CT in Europe and the Middle East commented, "CT is one of the premier AV service providers to the events market in almost every corner of the globe. The changes we are making in Europe allow us to deliver a more joined up service to our increasingly diverse international client base. Whilst the CT businesses in our core markets have always worked well with other group companies, the new structure allows a client based in one continent to source equipment and resources locally on another continent, whilst continuing to deal with the same team. Furthermore the full integration of our operating businesses will allow further improvements in utilisation which will allow us to continue to compete in an increasingly demanding market place."
