The VoCALL system, combining both fire telephones, disabled refuge points and disabled toilet alarms, is one of the products which Sunderland-based Current Thinking will be showcasing.
Says Current Thinking managing director Anthony Smith: "VoCALL is designed to be the most flexible system available and at this year's PLASA we will be introducing the new incident recording and logging software developed to meet the needs of the massive Wimbledon redevelopment project, which involved a 123-point network to provide easy communication for members of the public who cannot easily use the usual methods of evacuation and assist the emergency services to locate and reassure them during an emergency.
"We're sure that the system, which logs faults and records the time of incidents and the actual speech of the operators -vital information should a major incident occur, will be of interest for many other users from football grounds to colleges and universities. It is now available to add to all our network fire telephone and disabled refuge systems."
The Logging system was developed from voice alarm logging and recording software developed for large scale systems, including the system currently in use at Hartlepool nuclear power station.
Also on show at PLASA will be Current Thinking's wide range of voice alarm systems, induction loop and infrared systems for people with hearing problems and disabled call systems for use in toilets and hotel rooms - now with the ability to interface with VoCALL.
