Bandit Lites provided the lighting package for the first leg of the Grammy, Tony and Emmy-award winning performer's summer tour, which kicked off in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium.
In addition to performing songs from her new album, Lauper also treats fans to her classic hits, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and True Colors while telling anecdotes of her adventures. "I have an idea of how I am going to put a little country in all of some of the songs I will be singing,' Lauper said. "You know, why not? What the heck. You live once."
Her show features a five piece band and artful set comprising of a video wall that showcases Western flicks and footage of Cyndi in the studio. Bandit client representative Shawn Lear shared that Bandit provided ACL Par Bars, ETC Source Four 26 degree leko's, 10 Cell MR16 Strips, Bandit 5x5s, Bandit's exclusive LED GRNLite Battens, an ETC 24 Sensor Plus Dimmer Rack and two grandMA2 Lite consoles for control.
Sarah Gaume provided additional support as Bandit's lighting and stage technician on site, while Matt King was the preproduction liaison and planning specialist for the tour as project manager. "Having this opportunity to work with an icon like Cyndi Lauper is such a privilege," said Lear. "The dedication she shows to her craft and her fans is contagious, and I'm looking forward to working with this production again."
