A screenshot of the new ArrayCalc V7 in point source configuration, showing four 10S loudspeakers from the White range
Germany - Though the laws affecting the behaviour of sound are immutable, environment and loudspeaker design are all too variable. This is why d&b has developed ArrayCalc V7, precisely to accommodate not only line array but point source designs or a combination of both into a single hybrid system design. It also offers a new printout section for any of these options and simplifies the process of creating remote control workspaces via an export function into the d&b R1 Remote control software. There will be two working display areas on the stand that provide hands on opportunities to learn more about this latest software advance.

In the 12 months since the d&b V-Series received its worldwide launch at Prolight+Sound 2012 the acceptance of this new mid-sized line array has been "overwhelming", the company reports, with several thousand cabinets already shipped. As a consequence a demand for an installation variant has built up and in keeping with tradition at d&b the Vi version in all V-Series variants, Vi8, Vi12 and Vi-SUB will receive their first public outing at this year's show.

Elsewhere, loudspeakers from both the White and Black ranges will be displayed alongside the d&b D6 and D12 amplifiers as well as the d&b Remote network.
