Europe - DAP has announced the release of the DAP Frigga, a new single-column plug-and-play PA system designed to meet the growing demand for sophisticated, high-performance audio solutions in the modern event industry.
Designed to support singer/songwriters, corporate presenters, DJs, and event venues, the DAP Frigga delivers sound quality and versatility. It features a robust amplifier with three dedicated channels for subwoofer and mid/high frequencies, delivering up to 1000 W RMS and 2000 W peak.
The system includes a powerful subwoofer with two 12-inch woofers to deliver the deep bass that is the foundation of a rich audio experience. The top speaker is meticulously designed with six 4-inch neodymium midrange drivers arranged in a line-array configuration for optimum sound dispersion and minimal distortion. Centred within this array is a 1.5-inch neodymium tweeter, coupled with a waveguide to deliver precise and clear high frequencies, perfect for reproducing the subtle nuances of music and speech.
DAP Frigga's preamplifier is equipped with three versatile inputs to accommodate different audio sources. There is a microphone input, a line input (both with combo XLR/jack connectors) and a Bluetooth 5.0 compatible input for seamless integration with modern devices. The Bluetooth 5.0 module supports True Wireless Stereo (TWS), enabling two DAP Frigga units to pair wirelessly and deliver immersive Bluetooth stereo sound.
To ensure optimum sound balance, both the mic and line inputs have separate gain controls, allowing users to adjust sound levels independently for the perfect mix. There is also a subwoofer level control, allowing the balance between the subwoofer and the mid/high column speaker to be fine-tuned. A master volume knob provides overall control of the system's output.
Designed with elegance and practicality in mind, the DAP Frigga is available in both black and white finishes. This meets the increasing demand for visually appealing audio equipment, making it suitable for sophisticated events such as weddings and upscale gatherings. The system also includes a cable channel in the back of the column spacer, ensuring a tidy appearance.
The DAP Frigga comes with two mounting poles: a short and a tall one. The tall pole is ideal when the subwoofer is placed on the floor and the spacer is used to position the top speaker for optimal sound coverage. The short pole is perfect for setups where the subwoofer is already elevated and the spacer is not needed, such as on a stage. Using the spacer and tall pole in this scenario would place the top speaker too high, compromising sound quality.
Its user-friendly operation is tailored for medium to small events, with integrated circuits that ensure excellent sound quality without the need for complex DSP presets. Despite its extensive features, the DAP Frigga remains compact and portable.
To further enhance the functionality and protection of the DAP Frigga, optional accessories are available. Protective covers are designed to safeguard the system during transport and storage, while a base plate provides additional stability on various surfaces.
