DAS Audio on the money at Jing Las Vegas
- Details
The new Jing is a restaurant by day and a club by night. With a regular roster of in-demand DJs and performers, the high-end audio system courtesy of E11EVEN Sound by DAS Audio delivers the goods.
The main audio system is based around eight E11EVEN Sound by DAS Audio ES-10 10-inch systems, with eight ES-212 dual 12-inch subs to rock the bottom end. The DJ booth is outfitted with a pair of DAS Audio Action-508A active two-way cabinets and a DAS Audio Altea-718 sub.
Out in the main dining area, DAS Audio Quantum Series compact loudspeakers maintain a more subtle mood, with eight Q-3 3-inch boxes, eight more Q-23 dual 3-inch systems, and six Q-10 10-inch compact subs, all driven by DAS Audio EP-6K4 and EP-450 amplification.
The project was initiated by Mikey Zaglin, music director for Jing Las Vegas. “Our challenge was to find a system that was versatile enough to handle background dinner music for a five-star restaurant during the day, as well as punchy and powerful sound for a high-end nightclub in the evening,” recalls Zaglin. “I researched all the major manufacturers, and when I heard the E11EVEN Sound by DAS Audio system at a club in Miami I immediately knew it was what we wanted for JING. It was the only system I’ve heard that could deliver the power but also the clarity.”
Zaglin turned to Matt Frandsen of SoundBite Productions, who connected him with DAS Audio hospitality and nightclub national sales manager John Fiorito to design and commission the system. Randy White of Washington Music Centre provided the system components, and Guillermo ‘Willy’ Rodriguez of Willy-Tech Services installed the system, with DAS Audio applications engineer Geovanni Ortiz providing SMAART room tuning.
“We knew from the early planning stages that Jing Las Vegas had to set a new standard,” remarked general manager Robert Velez. “We auditioned several different sound systems, but nothing came close to what E11EVEN Sound by DAS Audio could deliver. We get customers all the time telling us that Jing has some of the best sound in the Vegas area.”
