The DS-115 is a versatile two-way system designed to be used as a full-range stand-alone unit. Low frequency reproduction is handled by a 400Wrms 15" loudspeaker with 3" voice coil. High frequencies are reproduced by the new M-5N neodymium compression driver. This 1" exit driver incorporates a 2" titanium diaphragm and EFW (edge-wound-flat-wire) voice coil. The unique enclosure design has three ergonomic handles for easy carrying, will accept a standard 35mm mounting stand and includes a floor monitor position for added flexibility. Nine M8 rigging points and an optional mounting bracket provide for use in permanent installations.
The self-powered and passive versions allow the user to choose the powering option that best suits their needs. The powered DS-115A uses a new 15" neodymium cone speaker with 3" voice coil for the LF section. HF, as with the passive version, is reproduced by the new M-5N. The power stage of the DS-115A incorporates the latest in amplifier technology - a Class D amplifier powers the LF section and a Class A/B powers the HF. Protection circuitry is provided for both amps and the components.
For LF reinforcement, the new Dynamics series offers both powered and passive subs. The Sub-18F is a passive unit which incorporates a 600Wrms 18" loudspeaker with a 4" voice coil and filter that offers an economic three-way option when used with the DS-115. The Sub-18A powered version includes a 500W Class D amp giving the Sub-18A sub-woofer system a solid bottom-end. Side located reinforced bar handles facilitate carrying and a pole-mount socket adds configuration flexibility.
